We're just now approaching the halfway point for the 2016 calendar year, but, as is the way of the automotive industry, we're already looking to the 2017 model year. One new model that we here at Fred Beans Toyota of Flemington are particularly excited about is the new 2017 Toyota Highlander, which is poised to see a release date at some point this coming fall.

And while we of course aren't able to get our hands on this enticing new model until then, we figured our Flemington, NJ readers might be interested in what they can expect when it does make its showroom debut in the coming months.

We're told that the 2017 Highlander is to be "significantly enhanced," not only in the way of updated equipment and technology, but stylistically, and in the area of performance, as well. A new Direct Shift 8-speed automatic transmission can be paired to a new 3.5-L V6 Direct Injection Engine which promised to provide more transmission efficiency.

If you're the kind of driver who prefers a particularly sporty drive, you will love the new SE model, which is a sports-oriented version of the new Highlander. Not only will this particular trim stand apart from the pack with its unique black leather interior, but it will ride on unique 19-inch aluminum alloy wheels, a sportier ride courtesy of its tuned suspension, and a special grille treatment.

Stay tuned here on our blog to learn more about the 2017 Toyota Highlander as more details emerge. In the meantime, feel free to explore all of currently available new 2016 Toyota models.
