The Toyota Supra Returns for 2018

A legend returns. Toyota recently announced plans to revive its iconic Supra coupe for a new generation of enthusiasts—coming with an edgy design and rubber-burning power for the road ahead.

For decades, this sporty two-door has garnered a loyal fanbase, and the new 2018 model is sure to continue the legacy of performance and style started by its predecessors.

Toyota teamed with BMW to produce the new Supra, using a full range of engines and transmissions from the German automaker. The upcoming Supra is slated to come with three engine options: a 195-horsepower 2.0-liter turbocharged straight-four-cylinder, a 248-horsepower 2.0-liter turbocharged straight-four-cylinder, and a 335-horsepower 3.0-liter turbocharged straight-six-cylinder. This coupe will also channel its power through a ZF-8HP eight-speed automatic transmission in each model as well.

While little else is known about this Japanese sports car, there is a good chance the new Supra will hit the U.S. market by the end of 2018.
